Tomorrow at 3:30 PM EST members of the Free Saibaba coalition-US will host an event entitled 'Free Saibaba: Imprisoning Dissent In India'. The event will take place at the Democracy Center in Cambridge, MA, and will be live-streamed here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sO9tLYCVxaU Panelist David Pugh, a member of the Free Saibaba Coalition-US, travelled to India on a fact-finding mission to learn more about the People's movements in India today. He and other members of the Coalition will present on Saibaba's condition, case, and activism, as well as the relationship between Saibaba's case and the larger situation in India, including the rural anti-displacement struggles and progressive political movements more broadly. They will also speak about their attempts to organize for Saibaba's release, and describe challenges and opportunities identified so far.
