Recently, an update about Ruan Xiaohuan 阮晓寰, aka Programthink 编程随想, is widely spread. A screenshot presumably of his wife’s WeChat conversation indicates that he was sentenced to seven years for “Inciting subversion of state power”. He is best known as a legendary blog-writer and mentor who enlightens many by sharing purely facts and knowledge on politics, the CCP’s censorship, and cyber security.

Sharing facts and knowledge is not a crime. On the contrary, a state power that can be subverted by facts and knowledge is definitely a criminal organization. We call on the CCP government to release him. If you live in a democratic country, please write to your representatives and media and bring awareness of the CCP government’s reckless human rights violation to the authorities and public.

Please speak out for him and support the fight of his family members for his freedom.
