As a young tiger, Mike lived an extraordinary life in the wild. That all changed the day LSU captured him and took him hostage as their mascot. Although Mike enjoys the company of the golden girls occasionally, this does not compensate for the fact that his quality of life has been diminished forever. The weekly rituals of sacrificing trombone players are not enough to make him feel like a real tiger again. His habitat is a prison, not a home. It is also good to note that Mike is not the first of his kind. He is in fact the seventh Mike the Tiger mascot and he won't be the last to suffer so greatly. Please save Mike for the sake of all Mikes of the past and the next Mikes to die.
