This is a petition to provide free menstrual products in the Science Center bathrooms.   This petition is created on behalf of all menstruating people – especially women in STEM – who feel excluded in the Science Center due to the lack of free menstrual products in the bathrooms. Seeing as how the menstrual products are free in many other buildings, such as Frost and Keefe, charging money for pads and tampons in the Science Center makes us question the priorities of the Health and Wellbeing Department at Amherst College. 

The lack of menstrual equity in the Science Center bathrooms is a jarring perpetuation of this narrative that people who menstruate do not belong in the scientific sphere. We want to uplift women's and menstruating individuals’ voices in STEM by providing free menstrual products in these scientific spaces.
