To the entire international cultural community

Your support gives me extraordinary strength and inspiration. Such an example of solidarity shows not only the full power and value of our community, but demonstrates that this is a principled position. Not only do we create to proclaim the ideals of goodness, humanism, justice, but are ready to defend them and fight for them.

"Art is apolitical". This is a mainstream statement, especially in post-Soviet countries. But this is not the case. In the 21st century, art is inextricably linked with politics. It is impossible to think and create freely in a political system where there is censorship, state ideology and, in fact, a ban on free creativity.

Always, even in the most difficult times, people of art fearlessly highlight the problems of society, speak up about injustice, and lack of freedom. Therefore, the power of solidarity and support of our community is not only an example for the whole society. It is also a real force that must be reckoned with and that drives changes and transformation in the society itself.
