Petition updateFree Lindsay and Craig ForemanThey have been seen, now bring them home
Free Lindsay and CraigFolkstone, United Kingdom
Jun 24, 2026

Since our last update we have seen a lot of activity on both sides of this ordeal. They have finally been seen by the embassy, which brings around comfort, concern and urgency. Hugo Shorter managed to see them both last week, for around 90 minutes. We were told that despite the immense circumstances they are under they remain resilient. But the longer the goes on for the more the concern grows, which is why now the embassy is back in country we need them to be doing more for their release.

Regarding their failed appeal we have welcome news that their legal representation is changing out there, which was received well by Lindsay and Craig as they hoped this may move things along for them both, especially now it has been escalated to the Supreme Court. One thing we are hammering down on is this change in legal team, whilst welcomed, does not abolish the responsibility of the UK government.

We are keeping a keen on the peace treaty and developments from the G7 summit, as this will hopefully bring around lasting change. But also the releasing of innocent people. This has been echoed by the UN in regards to Lindsay and Craig, where they have called this hostage taking, so now we need the government to treat it with that same level of urgency, and whilst they are at the G7 convention, to be utilising all and every political lever that is available to them.

As has recently been reported Kier Starmer has resigned, but will remain in power as caretaker primeminister until his replacement comes in. And in his final hour, we as a family are pleading with him to do the right thing, to end on a victory and to bring our loved ones home. It has been a rough 18 months for all involved and we hope this nightmare is coming to a close.

Finally, to thank you all so much for your support, the signing of the petition keeps it relevant. The donations through GoFundMe, which directly help the campaign to keep on pushing, means the world. The support from the public, MPs and NGOs means we know we're not alone in this fight.

Thank you.
