This Christmas, British citizens Lindsay and Craig Foreman will not be at home with their family. Instead, they remain detained without trial in Iran’s notorious Evin Prison – nearly a year after their arrest on baseless espionage charges they strongly deny.

Yet in the midst of fear and physical decline, Lindsay has written a poem for her family – and for every person facing Christmas separated from loved ones and we wanted to share it with you.  Thank you for everything that you have done already to support the fight for their release. We wish you a happy festive season and a merry new year.

Please do continue to share the word and ask others to sign the petition. Many thanks for all your support.

from the family and friends of Lindsay and Craig Foreman.

A Sad Voice from Evin Prison – A Christmas Poem

By Lindsay Foreman, December 2025

At a time when we should be connected
We find ourselves alone, down, dejected.
Grief’s made a home from the hole in our heart
Someone is absent, a family torn apart.

We wish that we could be together
To hug and hold each other forever
A tender touch, those words of comfort
Bring back warmth like a cozy blanket.

If we could just reach across the skies
Our Christmas wish granted, the best surprise.
Vivid memories to freeze and frame
Of happy faces, free from pain.

Peace and Goodwill are just an act away
When words fall silent and we simply pray
Pray that everlasting love will get us through.
The never ending connection from me to you.
