The price for laundry at Towson University is too expensive for such low quality washer and dryers. There have been so many instances of the washers not efficiently cleaning clothes and the dryers burning many clothes items with some items not even being dry at all. To make matters worse, the Speed Queen employed to make the laundry experience more convenient is frankly doing the opposite. Countless TikToks have been made about the Speed Queen app being offline for days even weeks on end. Many students do not have the mobility to just go to the store and ask for quarters. If we continue to accept these conditions, we allow our institution to make a mockery of us and the tuition we pay. Now is the time to act and petition for free laundry. There is countless public and private 4-year institutions in Maryland that offer free laundry and Towson University should be apart of that list. It is not fair that we are spending $3 a load on very faulty machines. Please sign this petition and share with not only Towson students but everyone you know.
