During their visit, they briefed the new representatives about the latest in Julian’s case during the visit. Independent MP, Andrew Wilkie joined them in a press conference, announcing the re-forming of the Bring Julian Assange Home Parliamentary Group.
The government must make efforts to move Julian Assange to “house arrest.” This is a simple request to uphold Julian’s rights to treat him as an innocent man before conviction. After all, this is a core international human right that UK and Australia both abide by.
