السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
We pray this message finds you in the best of Imaan and Health. As the days of President Biden’s term draw to a close, we stand at a crucial moment in our collective effort to secure the release of our dear sister, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. We urge every one of you to take this opportunity to turn sincerely to Allah in du’aa, imploring Him to grant her freedom and reunite her with her family.
The blessed White Days are upon us, offering an excellent opportunity to combine fasting with heartfelt supplication. These days are a gift from Allah—a time when deeds are multiplied, and du’aa is more likely to be accepted. Let us seize this moment to engage in acts of worship and make sincere, persistent du’aa for Dr Aafia’s release.
Remember the power of fasting and supplication as described by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ):
❝There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person at the time of breaking their fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed person.
Allah raises it above the clouds and opens the gates of heaven for it. And the Lord says: ‘By My Might, I shall surely aid you, even if it is after some time.’❞
[At-Tirmidhi]
As we fast, let us also reflect on the plight of the oppressed and remember that our collective du’aa has the power to make change. Whether it is a whisper in the night or a prayer during breaking your fast, every sincere moment you dedicate to praying for Aafia is an act of faith and love for the sake of Allah.
May Allah accept our fasting, our du’aa, and all our righteous actions during these blessed days, and may He hasten the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
