Alhamdulillah! We’ve Reached 1 Million Signatures!

Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui extends her heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for standing in solidarity with our beloved Sister, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. Your efforts—signing the petition, sharing it within your circles, and raising awareness—have brought us to this significant milestone.  

Our initial deadline was set for January 16, 2025. In the final weeks leading up to this date, we witnessed incredible efforts from individuals across the globe, both online and on the ground, to spread awareness and gather signatures. This remarkable response is a testament to the strength of the ummah when we unite for a common cause. Signatures have poured in, and they continue to grow, illustrating the power of collective action in our mission to free Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.  

Signing the petition may seem like a small step, but it is exactly this effort that Allah commands us to take. As we learn from the Qur'an, we are called to act, leaving the outcomes to Allah. When Prophet Musa (AS) struck his staff, it parted the sea by Allah’s will. When Maryam (AS), in the pain of having given birth, shook the date palm tree, Allah provided her with sustenance. These stories remind us that taking action, however small, is vital—while the results remain with Allah alone.  

However, our work is not over. It will not be complete until Dr. Aafia is free and reunited with her family!  

Dr. Fowzia has outlined the following next steps:  

1. Continue Sharing the Petition: Let’s strengthen Aafia’s case by gathering even more signatures to present to the pardon attorney.  
2. Make Du’a: Pray for Aafia’s clemency, her freedom, and her safe return home to her sister and family.  

We urge everyone: Do not stop signing, praying, and speaking out for Aafia.  

May Allah reward all your efforts abundantly and grant success to this cause.
