🛑 PETITION: Demand the Immediate Release of Marwan Marouf from ICE Custody

On Monday, September 22nd, beloved Muslim community leader Marwan Marouf was detained by ICE after dropping off his son at school. This shocking and deeply painful event has shaken the DFW community.

Brother Marwan is not only a pillar of MAS-Dallas (Muslim American Society – Dallas) but also a mentor, teacher, and friend to countless youth and families across North Texas. He has lived in the U.S. for over three decades, serving his community selflessly during that time.

Who Is Br. Marwan Marouf?

Marwan Marouf is a Palestinian American father, mentor, and public servant who has maintained the lawful status to call the United States home for over 30 years. He is not a stranger to our community—he is one of the people who built it.

For decades, Br. Marwan has:

• Served as a leader within MAS-Dallas (Muslim American Society), including as Public Relations and Fundraising Director.
• Mentored and educated thousands of youth through halaqas, conferences, khutbahs, and leadership programs.
• Helped found and lead the largest Muslim Boy Scout troop in North Texas (Circle 10 Council).
• Led drug awareness and youth development initiatives to promote healthy, faith-centered lifestyles.
• Regularly volunteered with the American Red Cross and trained as a Certified Disaster Relief First Responder— showing up for his neighbors in times of crisis.
• Built a family here — he is a husband and father of four sons.
  Spent his adult life in service to his community and his Creator.

We Are Demanding: 📢 

1. Immediate Release from ICE Detention
   Given his deep roots in the community, strong family ties to the area, and decades of service, he poses no threat or flight risk.
2. Fair Review of His Immigration Case
   Marwan’s green card application was denied on the same day he was detained. We call on USCIS and the immigration courts to reconsider that decision and ensure a full, transparent, and fair process — free from bias or undue influence.
3. Political Advocacy & Congressional Intervention
   We urge our local, state, and national representatives to stand with their constituents and advocate directly with ICE on Marwan’s behalf. Elected officials have the ability to submit inquiries and apply pressure — and we need them to act now.
