It's only 4 days (8 hours and 9 minutes - but who's counting!) until the meeting with Jo Churchill at the Department of State for Health and Social Care! I'm very excited to present the case for dental care to be free for cancer patients and I'm hoping also to possibly involve the Treasury at some point (as there's a Budget on the horizon).
I don't want anybody to think that I'm going to come out of the meeting with a definite "yes this is going to happen" because the proposals I've made need to be fully investigated and costed, but I do hope to be able to report that this is being favourably considered.
As I keep saying, this is a marathon and not a sprint which is why the Campaign still needs more signatures. A few ways you can help to spread the word are via social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc) but if you don't have access to those platforms, you can simply ask people to sign, maybe at a local group you go to, a drama club, at church, in the pub - wherever you are! You'll be surprised how many people will think that dental care is free for cancer patients. I know loads of you lovely people have already been doing just that but if you haven't, please start now! Spread the word and tell people to visit change.org/cancerdentalcare and sign up. Please also tell them, it's free to sign! Thank you.
