(Letter from Daniel) I want to start off by saying Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers who may be reading this. I know my mother will eventually read this and with that said I love you and have a great Mother's Day. When I was kid I didn't fully understand the dedication, sacrifice, & love she had for me and my sisters. My mother was born in Japan. I lived in Japan in my early childhood years. My mother left her family so that me and my sisters could have a better future. To change cultures and adapt has been hard on her especially with her mother being so old. I understand fully now that I’m older and I appreciate so much. Here in prison, so many guys talk about not having a father or mother. The simple things that are taken for granted on the outside are ingrained in me and my outlook on life has changed so much. A simple Rockstar energy drink during visits is literally like Christmas. Guys here didn’t have a mother who made homecook meals every day, showed up to my sport events, made homecook birthday cakes, she would take on low paying jobs just to help the family and so much more! I am blessed to have a amazing family and a amazing mother! Also, I would like to say thank you to all the loving supporters. We passed the 10,000 signature mark! Truly amazing! Congratulations to Michelle Malkin and her hard work. Michelle and CRTV won a prestigious award at the New York showing festival. You are my angel! I look forward to the next Facebook live chat! Please continue to share the facts of my case and keep fighting! My heart goes out to everyone! There is a lot of good things happening! Stay tuned! Never giving up, Daniel Holtzclaw
