The Issue

Byron Greene, DOC #336-433, has been incarcerated for nearly two decades for a crime he did not commit. He was handed a devastating and disproportionate 50-year sentence for assault—despite overwhelming evidence of judicial misconduct and his unwavering declaration of innocence.

This petition calls for a full review of Byron’s case, the overturning of his wrongful conviction, and his immediate release.

Byron has maintained his innocence from the very beginning. The evidence used to convict him was mishandled and misrepresented. The trial was flawed, unfair, and failed to meet the standards of justice due to misconduct, bias, and legal missteps.

50 Years for Assault Is Outrageous.

A 50-year sentence for an assault charge is both excessive and inhumane. This punishment does not align with principles of fairness, rehabilitation, or justice. It is a glaring example of systemic overreach and racial injustice.
