Hi, The petition to fight food waste in Europe now has over 735,000 signatures and it's still growing! Our calls to ask the European Union to ensure supermarkets donate unsold food to charity are getting louder. This week the EU will publish it's draft strategy on the 'New Circular Economy'. One of the areas covered in the strategy will be 'food waste'. This is our chance to make our voices heard on this issue. We want to bring the petition to life and show leaders how many people across Europe care about tackling food waste. Send us a selfie, with a picture of you and a food of your own choice. You can see some examples on the Facebook link below. Pictures, signatures and comments from all European countries will be sent to Mr Calleja-Crespo, the Director General for Environment on Wednesday. We need as many pictures as possible to give a face to all these signatures.
