Dear Fran and fellow petitioners,

Thank you for your passion and efforts on this important issue, as well as that of all the people who have signed the petition.

I too was very disappointed in CityLife's services closing due to the State Labor Government (note http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/south-east/state-government-washes-its-hands-of-two-charities-supporting-frankstons-most-vulnerable/news-story/b0c64d61f5c801294ab23d22fece2a35)

I was then more recently also upset that the subsequent State Labor Government funded interim meals service from Wintringham is also now being shut (see http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/south-east/vital-meals-service-for-frankstons-most-needy-shuts-down/news-story/b6b4a9ce7a6f975eb80497f6b4302d3d)

I am pleased though that a number of local organisations/schools have put in their best efforts to help make up for these closures through their own meals services, including LifeGate, John Paul College, Uniting Church and Sikh Volunteers Australia (as well as others I may not be aware of).

Albeit, the importance of the full meals service remains paramount, and I continue to call on the State Labor Government and the State Member for Frankston, Paul Edbrooke MP, to restore these vital services.

I would be very happy to meet with you to see what I can do to assist further from a Federal perspective. Please contact my office via 0397812333 to arrange a time to meet. I would suggest that other locals with an interest in assisting this matter, such as Noel Tudbull, 'Guru' Glenn Cooper and Pastor Mark from CityLife also attend, as well as other leaders in the community you deem appropriate, also attend this meeting.

Thank you again for your passion to help resolve this matter.

Kind regards

Chris Crewther MP
Federal Member for Dunkley
