Change how the Army Corps Engineers release water from Lake Okeechobee.

Every year the Army Corps of Engineers release water from Lake Okeechobee, and every year this disgusting water makes its way down the Caloosahatche River, and destroys the environment in SW Florida.
Currently most beaches and water ways are affected by toxic algea blooms that are not only dangerous to people but are killing fish and wildlife in this area. Dead fish are littering the canals, manatees and turtles are regularly found dead on beaches. We are basically dealing with a major environmental problem that no one seems to want to resolve.
In a recent interview John Campbell from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said: "As bad as discharging water is to the Caloosahatchee and the St. Lucie estuary, it is the least worst option. We can only do what Congress authorizes us to do and what Congress funds us to do so while we certainly care about water quality we don't have the authority or the funding to work on some of these issues the way we would like to,".
Therefore I am asking our 19th district representative, Francis Rooney, to implement change, and to give the Army Corps of Engineers the proper funding so that we can make better decisions about lake Okeechobee water releases.
