We call on Premier François Legault not to let his minister reduce Quebecers' choices in fertility care. The government must allow the OriginElle fertility clinic and its renowned team to continue to help Quebec couples, just as it helped Julie Snyder, Mélanie Joly and many others for whom it was the last hope.

Hundreds of patients at the OriginElle fertility clinic are concerned about the possible closure of the clinic. The clinic has received a letter of intent from the Ministry of Health stating that it is unlikely to be granted a licence to operate as an assisted reproduction centre.

When a couple chooses a doctor in this specialty, they are choosing not only an expert they trust, but also a confidant, a friend, someone who can relate to their intimacy and family ambitions. It seems essential to us to ask the government to analyze this issue in terms of the needs of the 1,000 patients undergoing treatment, their interests and to allow them to continue to have access to one of the best teams in the world in this specialty.
