Both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are two major anti-establishment candidates of their respective parties in this election cycle. It seems fitting to have them go head to head and see who's the strongest anti-establishment candidate. FOX News has already tried to get this done, and Bernie Sander's campaign agreed, but Donald Trump supposedly declined which yielded the FOX News Democratic Town Hall on Monday, March 7, 2016.

Since FOX News already has experience with trying to get this Bernie Sanders vs. Donald Trump showdown going, they would be the perfect network to reach out to the campaign. The two titans going at each other in a prime time slot will boost ratings for both the networks and one or both of the candidates as well as go down in history as one of the greatest debates of the modern era, not to mention the fact that it'd help people shift focus onto the general election.

If enough people want to see the debate, FOX News will have to address it and so will both campaigns. Since the first time FOX reached out to the campaigns, it was under a covert request, this will be the first public one so this may help the chances of getting this debate to actually happen.
