Re: Petition to vacate Windowmere Street

To Whom It May Concern:

Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Meditation Center has been operating at 4717 E. Rosedale St., Fort Worth, TX 76105 for 24 years. Over the years, we have often experienced burglaries and thefts with most of them taking place on our properties on Windowmere Street. The most recent theft incident which we reported to the Fort Worth Police Department occurred at 4713 Windowmere Street (Case #200036966).

We regularly hold meditation retreats for yogi practitioners and guests who would cross Windowmere Street throughout the day to use the facilities on both sides. They have had personal belongings burglarized and heard gunshots during these events. These incidents have caused serious safety concerns for the practitioners, guests and volunteers, as well as made this area an unsafe part of the neighborhood.

Considering these risks, we would like to present this matter to the public and sincerely call on your support of our efforts to vacate 195 feet of this road stretching from 4713 Windowmere Street to the dead end (heading east).  This would allow us to ensure a safer experience for everyone and deter those with ill intentions. Your support is extremely vital in making this community safer and preventing potential loss of lives.

Please show your support by signing the attached petition to vacate Windowmere Street. We appreciate your time and consideration very much.

May you all be well and peaceful.

Sincerely,

Venerable Buu Duc

(Quang Ngo)

President & Abbot

PS: All Properties on this street are owned by Huong Dao Temple.
