I want to make a stress free environment for South Forsyth Middle school

The Issue

South Forsyth Middle school is a very prestigious school. The school has received many awards including the school lighthouse award. South Forsyth Middle has many reputable achievements and is hosting multiple gifted students and teachers. However, many students feel that there is too much pressure. As an eighth grader I feel the pressure. When I was in 7th grade we had study hall, brain break and 45 minutes of learning support time(LST). Brain break was 30 minutes of indoor or outdoor time and study hall occurred during one of our classes. We had tests limited to only 2 in one day. The tests were placed sparingly so that we would have a week without a test. Now, many students are crumbling from the pressure. Not one but two very gifted students that I know are being homeschooled now. One of them was my very close friend. Both are now diagnosed with anxiety. I still have friends who take medication for their anxiety. South Forsyth is a gifted school and I'm so lucky to be a student there. However, it can NOT CONTINUE LIKE THIS. We have a quiz or test every week. Last year this was not the case. Students also have extracurricular tasks that they are committed to. Students perform better without the stress and pressure. My friends and I can't remember one week when we haven't had a quiz or test. South Forsyth may be amazing and full of prestige. But with the rate of students breaking it won't stay like that for long. The pressure is really ruining the students. School should not be a place we dread. School should NOT be a place where we feel like the pressure will kill us. School shouldn't be a place we want to avoid. Students shouldn’t feel so stressed in a school environment. People are coming to school with fevers because of the fear they may miss a test or pop quiz. We need to bring back a proper 45 minute Learning support time. We need a proper brain break where we are allowed outside. We need to have a bit of a break before the next test. We can NOT have multiple tests AND quizzes in a week. Personally I have had 3 tests and 1 quiz in one day. We are hard workers but we are not robots!
