From 27 Signatures to almost 260000!

Firstly let me start with two apologies...

1. to everyone I know who signed this petition - you have recieved this mail already but on change.org I can only send to the whole list of supporters.
2. to all those supporters that I do not know: I am asking you to sign another, almost identical petition that already has almost 260,000 signatures. I have now signed that petition and have stopped my own, The rest of this mail explains further.

Hi everyone,

for the past two months I have been working many hours everyday, on a petition, because I believe the demands therein are extremely important.

As just one, unknown person, it is not only a lot of work, it is extremely difficult to raise enough support.

The first release of the petition was in English, aimed at the European population and was to be sent to the European Parliament.

The second release, which I was about to publish now, is in German, aimed at the German government. However, whilst preparing it, I found a very similar petition already on the Campact/WeAct platform.

The alternative petition is called "Saving social networks as a democratic force".

My petition is called "Force Monitoring of All Social Media App Content in Europe OR ban the apps & replace them." Both petitions are effectively the same, suggesting that we upgrade and use the moderated Fediverse social media platform. In addition to saving democracy I mention many other benefits (see below).

Those additional benefits will still happen if the alternative petition is a success.

I now ask you all to sign the alternative petition because...

1. 
   it will solve all of the problems mentioned in my petition
2. 
   it already has almost 260,000 signatures and is backed by many influential people from the fields of politics, journalism, entertainment & art etc. You can see many of those people on the petition owner's website (link below).
3. 
   I will stop my petition and will promote (using Fediverse) the alternative.
          
   You can sign the petition, "Saving social networks as a democratic force" no matter which nationality, or wherever you live - just choose your country when you sign and PLZ is your postal code. You may need to use a translation add-in on your browser.
