Petition updateForce Colorado Springs to Repair the Barr TrailTHE LAND SWAP IS LEGALLY FLAWED
COS Land Swap
Jul 9, 2023

Hello,

This is my contribution to Citizen's Discussion at Tuesday's City Council meeting:

Good morning,

At the City Council meeting of September 10, 2019, President Skorman, Councilman Pico and Mayor's Chief of Staff Greene told me that my questions about the land swap had already been answered.

That claim was false.

Why did those public officials make false claims?

Since then, the City Council and the Mayor's Office have ignored my questions.

Why?

My questions are relevant.

I have proven that the land swap, its public comment process and the appraisal that was submitted by the Broadmoor are legally flawed.

As a Citizen, I have a right and a duty to ask these questions and to be given an honest and complete answer by the city.

What is the estimated cost of a drainage study for the first two miles of the Barr Trail?

What is the estimated cost to implement the drainage improvements?

What is the estimated cost to repair the erosion damage on the hillside after the drainage problems are fixed?

What is the estimated cost for a new fence along that section of the Barr Trail?

What is the estimated cost of all other needed repairs to that section of the Barr Trail?

Thank you, Carl Strow
