I am the voice and protector of my 14-year-old dog Shadow. who has suffered intensely from the side effects of Librela. After his last injection in December, he endured a  horrendous night, losing the ability to move his hind legs. He has lesions on his back and hind leg. He drinks excessive amounts of water and is incontinent. He had projectile vomiting!  Diarrhoea! Tilting head! Unbalanced! Sudden collapses! Weight loss! Lethargy! Cloudy eyes! Nonstop crying! UTI!
It’s taken months to show very slight signs of improvement , indicating the possible toxicity of Librela in his system.
Tests have now found Shadow has Liver and Kidney damage. 

It costs a fortune for the injections, and now it’s costing a FORTUNE to do tests he wouldn’t have needed had the Vet been truthful about the dangers of Librela.

Despite asking the vet twice about potential side effects prior to the treatment, I was assured there are none - a claim which has proved to be devastatingly erroneous. How many more pet owners have experienced this lie? The volume of these adverse reactions undermines the trust placed in our veterinary professionals and raises questions over their motivations in promoting such a hazardous drug. 

The situation is worsened by our pets experiencing unimaginable and painful deaths due to this drug, further illustrating the need for immediate regulation. Recognizing that our pets are not just animals but cherished members of our families, it is essential that their health and well-being are protected by those in a position to stop the sale and use of Librela in the UK. 

In order to prevent further suffering, I am calling  for an official investigation into the side effects of Librela, a deeper scrutiny of its approval process, and clarity in communication about potential risks. This Petition is also for all the dogs/cats DEAD and suffering because of Librela & Solensia. Zoetis have now manufactured Lenivia for dogs and Portela for cats. These do the same but block pain for 3 months. Any drug made to block the NGF must be banned!!
