Rezoning of 2446 (Lot 3) South Coast Highway, William Bay is now with Hon John Carey Minister for Planning. He will make the final decision on whether to give the go ahead for this major tourism development at the gateway to William Bay National Park, Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks within the next two weeks.
Minister Carey has agreed to meet with us before he makes his decision. We appreciate that opportunity. But he needs to hear from YOU. It's urgent. It is critical that we continue to build political pressure at this time.
Please sign the proforma letter provided or feel free to amend it and make it your own. Click and send a clear message to Minister Carey ASAP that he should reject Amendment 147 to Town Planning Scheme No. 3.
If every single petitioner sends an email, Minister Carey will receive over 2,500 messages. On that note, please share the link with every contact you have. Ask them to also click and send and share the link.
If you've previously written to Minister Carey, don't let that stop you writing again via the proforma system. We need his office to be flooded with emails. And phone calls - 6552 5300.
The more emails Minister Carey receives from us, the better the chances he will consider rejecting the proposal.
We will present the For Greens' Children petition at our meeting with him. Please, please also make one last effort to share the petition as widely as you can and ask people to sign.
Everyone who loves and wants to protect this impossibly beautiful place, with its unique biodiversity and ecosystems, its ability to heal and restore, and pass it intact to our kids, grandkids and on through the generations has a stake in this. Go you!
