The win by the Nicola Valley Fish & Game club against the Douglas Lake Cattle Company gate has set a precedent that will in all likelihood be fought all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada and shape the future of access in BC, and possibly Canada.

Access to Sooke Mountain Provincial Park will be resisted just as much, if not more, by the unlimited bank account of our own tax dollars controlled by a few fanatical townies in the CRD that believe the back country is no place for people.

This fight has been brewing since the early 1960's when it stalled in the BC legislature, and now we have the opportunity to settle it once and for all with two completely separate case files to demonstrate this is no "one off." 

We have answered every call of the restricted firearm lobby to stand strong against firearm legislation, and now it is time for those clubs funded with our money and armed with our social license to step up. We provide the social legitimacy that shelters the sport shooter's freedom to own firearms.
