Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work toward greater transparency within our club. We wanted to provide you with an update on the communication we’ve had with the club so far and the status of our petition.
Change in Strategy:
Initially, we had planned to request that the club hold a meeting with the membership to address these concerns directly. However, to ensure the anonymity of the individuals leading this effort and to protect those expressing the concerns of parents, we decided to request that the club communicate their responses via email instead.
Request for Transparency:
In our petition, we asked the club to provide us with more details regarding some of the feedback from parents. Specifically, we sought clarity on several aspects:
1. Member Engagement: How is member feedback collected and addressed?
2. Communication: What are the club’s practices for communicating key updates and staff changes?
3. Staff Retention: What strategies are in place for retaining critical staff, and what are the long-term plans?
4. Financial Transparency: Can the club provide insights into its financial practices, including expense management and reporting?
5. Board Governance: What are the roles of board members, and how are conflicts of interest managed?
6. Facility Management: How are club facilities allocated and used?
Club’s Initial Response:
We received an initial response from the club on August 23, acknowledging our petition. They assured us that our message has been received and forwarded to the board of directors, who are currently working through the necessary due diligence and communication process. The club indicated that they would be in contact in the coming weeks to discuss next steps with members in good standing.
Our Follow-Up:
In response to the club’s initial communication, we requested further clarification on the timeline for when we can expect answers to these questions. We also asked for clarification on what is meant by “members in good standing” to ensure that all relevant members are included in the forthcoming communications.
Additionally, we asked the club to provide the information they have available by August 29, even if they are unable to provide complete responses by that date. Our goal is to ensure that transparency and timely communication are maintained throughout this process.
Current Status:
As of now, we have not received any further communication from the club following our request for clarity. We understand that this process may take time, but in good faith, we are looking to the club to provide us with timely responses. We believe this will help build trust among the membership and ensure that parents have the information they need to make informed decisions.
