I wish to stop scientists from cloning animals without knowing the repercussions. Many cloned animals have been shown to have health defects and die sooner than most animals of their species. I think this treatment on animals is sick and morally wrong. I think it’s cruel and I don’t like that it’s happening. I’m sure that many of you don’t like it either. I want to see an end to this practice. Also, I don't think bioengineering should be used on animals either. Both of these have little to no use and are acts of "playing God". Is it really necessary to make pigs glow in the dark? Really? God is in the details, and everything is made for a reason. Maybe you don’t believe in God, but scientists also have morals, and it is not right to use them to make animals do things they don’t understand. Some of you might say: “oh, my pet may have a life-threatening disease.” I agree. But we shouldn’t spend money to cloned animals that are destined to die early. I really do feel compassion for the animals, but I think they should not be used as medical research subjects. To make matters worse, I think we're also using them to produce flu vaccines. What’s next, we're going to use pigs to make human heart valves? I do not like this plan. I think it’s unethical and cruel. Please keep this in mind when you hear that scientists are cloning animals. A lot of people aren’t aware of what’s going on.
