DEAR FDA & OTHER SOURCES OF MISINFORMATION:

I am taking a stand on this day, March 27, 2020 and I ask vape shops, manufacturers, wholesale companies, consumers and anyone who's life was saved by the invention of vape to stand together.  Post this in your shop, share on social media and help lead the effort to get those involved to #QuitLying.  

The amount of misinformation, and dare I say propaganda being exploited by the media, you and other organizations funded by groups who profit off the trickle-down government funding indirectly received by the MSA agreement blood money, is factually incorrect.

On this day, it is time that we, as a free and educated people, lay out the facts for the free people of the United States to see in all honesty and transparency.

1. You claimed (along with the CDC and the WHO) incorrectly, in 2019, that people were dying from vaping, and even though you knew long before that all information was pointing to illegal black market TCH cartridges, you continued to stay silent on it. This silence may have cost many lives who were not made aware of the specific products causing the problem. You did so, in my opinion, to push an agenda to drive vaping into the dustbin of history.
2. You have claimed (against many legitimate studies) that vaping cannot be considered safe, even though an abundance of studies have shown that vaping is 95-98% safer than traditional cigarettes.
3. You are well aware of the number of smoking-related deaths each year (over ½ million in the US alone), and this number makes COVID19 look like a walk in the park as of now, yet you continue to drive an agenda to keep people away from a life-saving device.
4. You are well aware of the health benefits of vaping, and if this were put out by any major drug company, you would have endorsed it long ago. The problem is, there is no money in it for you to endorse it now. You and many others connected only see a loss of revenue from the MSA agreement.
5. You have failed to assist those in need of a promising way to kick the awful habit of smoking traditional cigarettes. You have instead scared people into believing that something that causes over 500,000 people to die every year in the US is somehow the same as a device that has caused ZERO deaths relating to the inhalation of nicotine-based e-liquid.
6. You have forced retailers and manufacturers of this life-saving product to falsely lie to the public with such things as making them put "This product contains nicotine…" and "This product was derived from tobacco" warnings on products that do not contain nicotine. Products like: glass tanks, metal and cotton coils, batteries, electrical components, nicotine-free flavors, etc.…  
7. You have forced us to falsely advertise the very products we sell, yet tied our hands on the truthful statements like: "This product can and has been proven to help you reduce and even quit smoking." "This product has been proven to be 95-95% safer than traditional cigarettes." "This product has been shown to help some people kick the habit of smoking in less than 24 hours."
8. You had seen the studies, which show the vast majority of people who choose vaping based on flavors are over the age of 21 and very few under the age of 21, even listed flavors in the top 3, yet promoted the very opposite lie.
9. You had seen studies, which show that the rate of children under 18 years of age was meager when you looked at the data of "TOBACCO FREE" individuals. You masked the study in with those who currently smoked cigarettes as a means to increase the percentage for a fear factor. You also, included in this same study the fact that many of those questioned, had tried vaping yet stopped and never picked it up as a habit, yet failed to include this information as evidence to the public.

YOU ARE NOW FALSELY TYING VAPING TO COVID-19 WITHOUT ANY SCIENCE BEHIND IT.

In fact, I will go so far as to say, zero facts behind it.

I will layout the facts for the public:

1. In 1942, Dr. Robertson (Father of Blood-banking from Harvard Medical), researched the vaporization of PG (one of the four ingredients in e-liquid) to see it's effects and ability to neutralize germs, bacteria, and viruses. In the study they successfully showed that the mice who were given the flu and pneumonia and then introduced to vaporized nicotine never became sick from the flu or pneumonia, and those who were not died from both of those. The team of 9 (lead by Dr. Robinson) also discovered that when studying the longer-term effects of a year and a half on chimpanzees, there was no signs of damage to the lungs, organs, arteries, and any other internal part of the chimps, in all cases.
2. Dr. Robertson then proposed this form of vaporized PG be used in the military, hospitals, and schools to clean the air of potential viruses or bacteria. This was never adopted, but the evidence was there. 

You have ignored much evidence, from the vaping community, of the lack of flu or other respiratory illnesses in individuals who have vaped for more than two years. Many of those who have been vaping for 2-5 years have not gotten the flu or another respiratory infection during that time. 

1. Those who were smokers remitted that many had been ill in the past 12 months from one or the other.
2. You are correlating the fact of people being infected by COVID-19 to vaping. This is negligent (to say the least). Infection rates vary by environment, human behavior, and cleanliness. To tie infection rates to vaping is like relating infection rates to those who drink Caffeinated or Decaf coffee. It's impossible to correlate.

You are ignoring undeniable numbers. Let's go through them.  

The top ten countries by both numbers of vapers and the percentage of vapers are US, UK, France, Germany, China, Canada, Poland, Italy, Russia, Malaysia, South Africa & the Philippines. The rate of mortality (the result of death from infection), which is what should be looked at in correlation to any consumption trying to be tied to the outcome of a patient who is infected, is as follows (numbers are per million people): South Africa 0.02, Russia 0.03, Poland 0.4, Philippines 0.5, Malaysia 0.8, Canada 1, China 2, Germany 4, USA 5, France 31, Italy 151. 

These numbers alone show there is no correlation between the two. However, you could make the argument that (using Italy as an outlier), the countries with the highest amount of vapers also rank among the lowest mortality rates.

1. ANY HONEST ORGANIZATION would be studying this to see if there is a possibility that by the inhalation of PG in the vape, there might be a positive effect on the decrease in respiratory illnesses among vapers compared to others. You might honestly look at the potential of PG to destroy viruses and bacteria in the mouth, esophagus, and lungs (as it was shown in Dr. Robertson's study to kill viruses in less than 6 seconds when vaporized).
2. You have forced us to lie, and you have confused and scared the public away from a life-saving device (product), and it's time to stop and let adults make the proper life-saving decisions we were meant to have by the very instrument which guaranteed us "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".. You should not have control over my ability or my customers' ability to produce, purchase or consume a product that could save our lives and has no adverse effect on those around us (as shown in the California study by Dr. Siegel).  
3. It is time for you to do the job you were intended to do, and that looks after the safety of food and drugs in our country. It is time for the President to take a stand and create a new division to oversee the proper sale and distribution of vape products with simple, understandable guidelines that protect against the sale to minors, the proper childproof bottling, the listing of simplified ingredients, batch numbering for tracking purposes in case of any accidental contamination during bottling/manufacturing and the simple disclaimer that "not all consumers will see the same benefits and with any product, there may be side effects, please discontinue use if you have any adverse side effects." It's that simple—nothing more and nothing less.

It is time for you to stay out of our way and let us tell the truth. Our hands will not be tied anymore.. You will not go uninhibited to falsely make accusations with no basis, and you will not force us to lie (by penalty of fines or license suspension).

Vaping Saves Lives! YES FDA IT DOES. YOU ARE NOT BEING HONEST, AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED THE TRUTH. THIS IS OUR TIME TO STAND UNITED AGAINST THE TYRANNY OF AN OUT OF CONTROL BEUROCRACY PEDDLING IN FALSITIES AND OUTRIGHT LIES. 

This battle for freedom... Freedom of choice. Freedom of life. Freedom to pursue our own happiness. Free from an out of control bureaucracy This is the hill we will stake our claim on. Get out of our way and let Americans be free to be the greatest nation on earth with their ability to live free.
