Our schools are not receiving enough financial support to educate students with autism in Florida. We need to ensure that they can hire staff to fully support our teachers and specialists. Without sufficient staffing students with autism can not receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) which is an educational right of all children in the United States that is guaranteed by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
