Please leave comments in the special section below the article - it's vitally important for the "powers-that-be" to hear your opinion on such construction/tourism projects in natural areas like the Sonian Forest. There is a fundamental disconnect between what the decision-makers think visitors to the Forest want, and what the overwhelming majority of people actually want.
People who I've talked to in the Sonian Forest about the petition all agree that there is already enough recreational pressure in the Forest, and all they want is to be able to enjoy the woods in peace. And they are unanimous in recognizing that wildlife suffers from this mounting pressure and disturbance.
