I'm tired, you're tired, we are all tired of having a wifi (that we spend thousands on tuition for) that just doesn't work. I've had far too many experiences myself where UBC's wifi has interrupted my learning experience, causing stress and frustration. With RogersGuest being the only other alternative that reliably works (but also has a 5GB limit), wifi is starting to feel like a limited resource. As a student who's striving to succeed in my academics, reliable internet access is not just a luxury but a necessity. I'm sure many of you feel the same.

UBC is a renowned school ranked as a top university in Canada, drawing in thousands of students each paying a high amount in tuition fees, yet the lack of reliable wifi doesn't seem to reflect this. With courses, assignments, and research heavily reliant on online platforms, an unstable internet connection leads to missed deadlines and more stress on top of students' already stressful days. 

I believe there is a solution if we all push UBC to act. By signing this petition, we urge UBC to conduct a comprehensive review of its current internet services and infrastructure. The university should also consider increasing the bandwidth and installing additional access points throughout the campus to cover blind spots. This would not only improve the daily experiences of students but also reinforce UBC's standing as a leading global academic institution.
