In the previous update, I mentioned that the NJ DOT proposed establishing a 25 mph school zone on Rt-35 near Ross St School, mirroring the one near Woodbridge High School, pending a resolution from the Township.
Yesterday, we got great news - Mayor McCormac and Councilwoman McAuliffe have agreed to move forward! They are working with the Police Department to prepare a resolution and take the necessary steps to make this happen.
Additionally, School Board President Daniel Harris has pledged support and will ask the Board of Education to issue a resolution in mid-February to strengthen this effort.
The NJ DOT has a larger project planned for Route 35 this year, which could delay the safety upgrades. Patience is key, but let’s keep spreading the word until we achieve victory!
Thank you all! Your support is making a real impact!
