Update - Reply from Office of the Hon Michelle Rowland MP

We have received a response from the office of our local MP, Michelle Rowland, regarding our petition on Route 740 bus services.

Transport for NSW has acknowledged the strong community demand for better connectivity between Box Hill/Gables and the Tallawong and Rouse Hill Metro stations. They have also confirmed they are aware of the overcrowding issues on Route 740 and are actively monitoring customer feedback for future scheduling improvements.

As part of the response, Transport for NSW advised that Route 643 has had its frequency increased. Since 21 June 2026, the service now operates at least every 15 minutes during peak periods between Gables and Rouse Hill, with buses every 10 minutes during the busiest morning and afternoon peak times.
