Hundreds of Canberra children and adult basketball enthusiasts are having matches cancelled when it rains, due to the leaky roof at Southern Cross Basketball Stadium, Tuggeranong, ACT.

This is costing the community healthy exercise and social time.

The untenable situation has dragged on for far too many years without a resolution.

This community hub needs urgent attention to stop rain from dampening not just the floors, but the spirits of Canberra's basketball community.

We call on the Southern Cross Club, Basketball ACT and ACT Sports Minister Yvette Berry to urgently fix this long standing problem.

Addressing this issue demonstrates a commitment to fostering a healthy, active, and engaged community.
