Fix the drinking water crisis in Kentucky

Fix the drinking water crisis in Kentucky
The Issue
The drinking water in Martin County in Kentucky is brown and smells like bleach. People itch after they shower. And the prices for that water are going up for Kentucky residents.
The Kentucky House recently passed a resolution asking Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin to declare a state of emergency and it has to be passed to free up resources to fix the dire situation.
People have to drive from their houses for 30 minutes or more just to get pure water. Leaks can create a vacuum that creates a hazardous concoction with chemicals.
What’s worse? The water in Kentucky might lead to an increased risk of cancer.
Some buy bottled water, and others hope for donations.
Governor Bevin: declare a state of emergency so that this situation can begin to be sorted out. Kentuckians need clean drinking water now.
