Merimbula Tourism Inc. with a membership of 150 tourism and hospitality businesses on the Far South Coast of NSW has come out in support of the FIX THE BROWN petition campaign (fixthebrown.com). With the dedicated work of 35 volunteers Merimbula Tourism runs the Merimbula Visitors Centre, servicing 60,000 visitors a year.
"Tourism is the lifeblood of the Sapphire Coast economy with visitor spending of $333m. in the Bega Valley Shire during 2022," according to FIX THE BROWN co-ordinator, Jon Gaul. "Visitor access to the beaches and wilderness areas of the Sapphire Coast should not be restricted by the unsafe, unstable and unreliable Brown Mountain pass road."
Sign and share the petition to upgrade the sub-standard Brown Mountain road at fixthebrown.com and help make change happen!
