But there's a big question no one’s answering—how will police know who qualifies?

Under this bill, drivers could be pulled over and asked to prove they're pregnant or show legal documents to confirm they're a parent or guardian. That’s not a gift. That’s a slippery slope toward invasive and inconsistent policing, especially for women, people of color, and anyone without paperwork on hand.

What starts as a symbolic gesture risks turning into roadside interrogations about deeply personal information. No one should be asked to prove a pregnancy to an officer. No parent should need court documents in their glove box.
