Huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared!
In less than a week, our petition has reached 500 signatures — and it’s still growing strong.
This petition is simple and fair: we’re asking the Tasmanian Government to add “sex” (biological male/ female) as a protected attribute in the Anti-Discrimination Act 1998.
Tasmania’s current law protects gender and gender identity — but it does not explicitly protect sex. Adding this one clear attribute would give women and girls stronger, more certain legal safeguards in single-sex spaces, sports, prisons, changing rooms, and services — while protecting everyone’s rights.
This isn’t about taking rights away from anyone. It’s about fixing a gap so the law reflects biological reality and works fairly for all Tasmanians.
Your support is making a real difference.
