Fix Shapes Premium

Fix Shapes Premium
The Issue
Shapes Inc. recently introduced a premium feature, but it turned out to be quite different from what we expected. Instead of the premium plan being per user, it is per shape.
At first, this might not seem like a bad thing-it allows shape creators to earn some money, right? While that is technically true, the reality isn’t as good as it sounds.
First, shape creators don’t receive 70%, 50%, or even 30% of the revenue their shape generates-they get only 10%. This makes it more of a tactic to attract new users with the promise of earning money rather than a real opportunity for creators.
Second, the minimum price for a premium subscription is $15 per month for a single shape, and there’s no option to disable premium for your shape. This shows that the premium plan wasn’t designed to help creators earn money-it was implemented so the company could profit while shifting the blame for high prices onto creators, making them appear greedy.
In conclusion, the premium plan should have been per user from the start. We don’t want to charge people $15 for a slightly better shape. A per-user subscription would be a fairer approach. Sure, some might still call you a greedy company, but at least don’t force your users to charge $15 for their shapes just so they take the blame.
