Fix Bengaluru's garbage crisis now!!!!

Fix Bengaluru's garbage crisis now!!!!
The Issue
We, the residents of RKBR Layout, Bengaluru, request BBMP/GBA authorities to take immediate and permanent action regarding the ongoing garbage collection and sanitation issues in our locality.
For several months, garbage collection has been highly irregular, with collection vehicles arriving only once every 2–3 days. Despite repeated complaints and escalations, the issue keeps recurring.
This has resulted in:
- Garbage dumping in empty plots
- Waste accumulation on pavements and roads
- Increased stray dog menace due to scattered garbage
- Unhygienic living conditions and foul smell
- Health and environmental concerns for residents
We urge BBMP/GBA to:
- Ensure daily garbage collection.
- Monitor and regulate garbage collection staff and contractors.
- Maintain cleanliness in public spaces and empty plots.
- Implement a sustainable waste management solution for the area.
Cleanliness is a shared responsibility between citizens and civic authorities. We, the residents, are ready to cooperate fully and request immediate intervention before the problem worsens further.
Bengaluru, once known as the Garden City, is increasingly facing a growing garbage and sanitation crisis.
Across layouts and neighborhoods including RKBR Layout, residents are struggling with irregular garbage collection, waste piling up on roads and pavements, dumping in empty plots, stray dog nuisance, foul smell, and unhealthy living conditions.
Despite repeated complaints, BBMP tickets, and escalations, the issue continues to recur without permanent action.
This is no longer just a local inconvenience — it is becoming a serious city-wide environmental and public health concern.
We, the citizens of Bengaluru, request BBMP, GBA/BSWML, and Karnataka authorities to take immediate and accountable action to improve waste management across the city.
WE DEMAND:
✅ Daily and timely garbage collection
✅ Accountability from contractors and sanitation officials
✅ Prevention of garbage dumping in public spaces and empty plots
✅ Cleaner roads, pavements, and residential layouts
✅ Transparent grievance redressal and monitoring systems
✅ Sustainable waste management for a cleaner Bengaluru
Cleanliness cannot be achieved through fines alone. A clean city is possible only when citizens and civic authorities work together with responsibility and commitment.
We urge all Bengaluru residents facing similar issues to support this petition and help us collectively demand immediate and long-term action.
Together, let us build a cleaner, healthier, and more livable Bengaluru.
