This graph clearly demonstrates the decline in NSW fishermen. We already import over 86% of our seafood and it is rising every year, while your commercial fishing industry is being destroyed and reduced to almost nothing.

Many of the Commercial fishermen left in 2019 have now been destroyed, losing 80-95% of their income and value of their business. My father alone has lost at least half the value of his business, reduced almost to a shell, and he is at retirement age- he has been fishing almost 50 years of his life and so many more are affected by these reforms right across NSW- both Indigenous and non-Indigenous sustainable small fishing families.

There has to be an inquiry, fishermen need to be compensated for all their losses and corrupt politicians and businessmen need to be brought to justice.
