To the Italian Parliament. Anti-fascist Ukraine Co-ordination Organizations acknowledge the initiative of the population of the two popular Donbass republics to gather accession to a petition to the Russian Duma for the recognition of their republics. Bearing in mind the international importance of the principle of non-interference and self-determination of peoples, we intend to address similar petitions, in collaboration with other organizations in Europe, the Italian Parliament and the European Parliament. In this regard, the following is specified: In February-March 2014 in Ukraine with a military coup there was a Nazi-like junta organized with paramilitary militias, such as the "Pravyi Sector" and the military, such as the Azov Battalion, who committed horrible crimes like the horrible Massacre at the House of Trade Unions in Odessa; From the populations of the Donbass, where an anti-fascist conscience is rooted, a legitimate demand for separation from Ukraine has come under the Kiev regime which responded to this democratic instance by sending tanks; On April 7, 2014, a popular uprising triggered troops deployed from Kiev; Following these events, the "Declaration of Sovereignty" and "The Declaration of Independence" of the Popular Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk were drafted. These Declarations were voted on and approved by a very large majority of the population of Donbass in the referendum of May 11, 2014, thus sanctioning the birth of D.N.R. (Donetskaya Narodnaya Respublika) and L.N.R. (Luganskaya Narodnaya Respublika). Since then, the Kiev regime has triggered a fratricidal war and a real attempt to invade the two republics. Invasion again rejected by the popular militias, until reaching international mediation with the initials of the "Minsk Accords". These agreements, signed on February 12, 2015, expired on December 31, 2015 and were renewed in 2016 as established by the presidents of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine, meeting in Berlin in "Normandy Four" - last October 19. However, the Ukrainian government does not even respect the core points of the agreement. Donbass citizens, including children, continue to be killed and their homes being bombarded. After fighting in the Debaltsevo area of December 19, 2016, from January 29, the Kiev artillery resumed bombarding violently. The most affected areas are on the outskirts of Donetsk where there are numerous deaths and extensive destruction. The continuing violations of the "Minsk Accords" are increasingly diverting the citizens of Donbass from Ukraine. The recognition of the popular republics of Donetsk and Lugansk is the only way to return to the citizens of Donbass a normal life, restore their economic and industrial potential, give work and wages to people who can work and dispense pensions. Recognition of the popular republics of Donetsk and Lugansk is the recognition of the universal value of the anti-fascist struggle! It is an act due to the dignity of citizens and men and is the guarantee of an existence in peace and democracy.
