Accountability has to go both ways. This coaching staff talks constantly about accountability, but from the stands it only seems to flow one direction. When the team loses, we hear about the players' effort, the players' details and the players' mistakes. We rarely hear a coach own his system, his lineup decisions or his deployment. Fans can tell the difference between holding players to a standard and pointing fingers.

Free Michkov. Matvei Michkov is the most exciting young talent this franchise has had in years. He's the reason a lot of us renewed our tickets and still tune in on weeknights. Instead of building the offense around him, we watch him get short shifts and limited minutes while the team struggles to score. You don't develop a game-breaker by glueing him to the bench, and you don't win fans back that way either.

Philadelphia deserves better hockey. This fan base has been patient through years without playoff hockey and a long rebuild. We're not asking for miracles. We're asking for a coach who holds himself to the same standard he holds his players to, and who lets his best young player play.

We respectfully ask the Flyers front office to make a coaching change.
