Fire Chino High Teacher Clyde Colinco For Lashing Out Against Student

The Issue

On or about on November 6, 2024, Mr. Colinco inappropriately ranted about a student wearing a hat in support of President Donald Trump. He used hateful and entirely unsuitable language against the student and attempted to call security on the student. Real, confirmed quotes, many directed at students, from the rant follow:

"I'm pissed, people voting for a rapist. I am pissed off! Turn it off and go back to your freaking seat now! (last part directed at a concerned student)"

“Can you send security up? I have a boy who has a Trump hat on and I’m not going to tolerate it today.”

"I don't care, let them fire the hell out of me."

"“Tell [Principal] Miller 'I should have the right to vote for a rapist and a child molester,' go for it (directed at a student)! I don't give a F!"

(following quote directed at "a soft-spoken girl who... ask[ed] what he was so upset about," see source 1): Excuse me! WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?! TRUMP! THE RAPIST! [His supporters] just voted for him to get rid of the 20 million immigrants.”

"Christians are voting for him, bunch of losers."

No matter what the student did, no matter what candidate the student showed support for, this is unacceptable. Anything less than an immediate release of this teacher from Chino High School (especially considering his current salary of about $120,000 a year- to do this!) will be waving a flag in the face of all politically charged teachers, left and right, that they can violate the rights of all students to learn in a safe, politically neutral environment. Additionally, yelling at innocent students, especially over politics, is entirely unacceptable behavior in a school environment.

Parents, educational specialists, CVUSD district officials, and other teachers agree (see sources): For the sake of Chino High School and its students, Mr. Clyde Colinco must be fired immediately.
