While some states are lifting COVID-19 restrictions, Sydney is expected to endure an extended lockdown to curb the wildly infectious Delta variant. People from all across Australia are calling on the federal government to provide fair income support for Australians in Sydney, for the safety of our fellow Australians in Sydney and also to urgently curb the current outbreak! 

We have been compliant in lock down, and we deserve support to stay home safe during winter.

Workers deserve support during the lockdowns. This should be a priority for the federal government to ensure workers have their safety net, including those that rely on casual work to pay their bills. 

The current financial support measures are not enough to save jobs and incomes. The most vulnerable are missing out because they earn too little and don’t meet the eligibility criteria. We need federal support to help us ride this wave.

The federal government must step up and reinstate JobKeeper and other coronavirus supplements to support the lowest incomes earners who are doing it tough.
