Bring Reign Home

Bring Reign Home
The Issue
Thousands of children are taken from their parents every year through CPS. What if I told you nearly more than half of those children were removed from their parents without legal cause? This is a form of human trafficking that most people do not know exist. During the time of Covid, the removal of these children increased significantly. My son is one of many children that were trafficked through the system during Covid. My son is one of many children currently being treated as currency for the counties and parties involved in the removal of that child from their safe mom and or dad.
Safety is a huge concern involving the placement of these children. Kayden Mancuso, was a 7 year old baby girl from PA who was murdered by her father in 2018 during a court ordered unsupervised visit. Kayden’s Law is crucial because it aims to protect children from being placed in dangerous situations during custody disputes. The story you are about to read is a very small percentage of the injustice that has torn apart so many families in our nation. I hope with this petition, we can stop Cash For Kids and prevent children from being in dangerous circumstances ordered by family court or CPS.
This is Reign Kaiden's story:
Imagine being ripped away from everything you’ve ever known, thrown into chaos, and left to fend for yourself in an unfamiliar world at just 2 years old. This is the heartbreaking story of my son, Reign. In 2021, Reign was parentally abducted by his father, Victor, under false pretenses. Within moments, my sweet boy was taken from the safety of my arms and hidden in Detroit, completely isolated from the only two people who had cared for him since birth—his mother and maternal grandmother.
Victor immediately and illegally changed his name to "Vincent," erasing his identity. For nearly two years, Reign lived in an environment of domestic violence and fear, deprived of the love and security he deserved. He was cut off from breastfeeding, from me, and from the warm embrace of his grandmother—all things he depended on for comfort and growth.
On August 10, 2023, Reign was finally returned to me "permanently". For the first time in years, he could feel safe. I thought our nightmare was over. But just one week later, the court revoked the permanent order and forced me to hand my abused child back to the man who had hurt him—despite Reign bravely disclosing the abuse he endured. I was reduced to weekend visits, helplessly watching my child slip further into harm’s way.
The nightmare deepened on September 1, 2023, during a custody exchange. Victor dropped Reign off wearing Spiderman sunglasses, concealing a black eye. My heart shattered when Reign later revealed how he was hurt. A social worker from the Detroit Police reported the abuse to CPS, and I was told by a credible attorney that I had the right to protect my child. I made the agonizing decision to deviate from the custody order to keep Reign safe. What followed was a cascade of injustice. When CPS went to investigate, Victor presented a different child to evade responsibility. The result? The case was closed, the social worker was fired, and my parenting time was suspended on September 20, 2023. Court ordered, I was not allowed to see Reign for well over a year. Meanwhile, Victor, who has been placed on the centralized registry for egregious sexual abuse against his own minor daughter, continues to evade accountability. Forensic interviews confirmed that she was SA’d by her father Victor from ages 5 to 7. Despite these facts, Victor has not been arrested and still has unsupervised access to Reign. Family court, law enforcement, and CPS have failed my son.
October 9th, 2024, the MSP Investigator over the egregious sex crimes over Reign’s sister’s case, reiterated that where Wayne County CPS has placed Reign since 10/2/2024 is wrong and that Reign should be with his loving mother.
Instead of giving Reign back to me, CPS workers lied on their petitions and placed Reign in Foster Care, "permanently," pending trial to terminate Victor’s parental rights.
Reign deserves to come home. He deserves safety, love, and a future free from fear.
Since Reign has been a ward of the state of Michigan, my family has been stalked, harassed, threatened, and robbed. God forbid, I lose my life during this fight, I want Reign to know he was loved more than anything in this world. That he is my everything, and I will never stop fighting for him. Please help us bring Reign home where he belongs with a signature, comment, and share. Your support means the world to us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
