The honorable Tracey Van Den Burgh granted Reign to be returned to me, his mother, on 8/9/23. Her order was the last update stating Reign would remain in my care pending the outcome of the Evidentiary Hearing. The next day my attorney Kama Patel told me that I could not leave her home until we proved that Victor was served. She strung me along until the next hearing date where I was ambushed regarding custody, not "proof of service" like I had been misled to believe.
Kama Patel deliberately did not turn in facts regarding Reign's abuse. She is battling substance abuse, what appears to be severe mental health issues, and was facing her 3rd DUI felony in the county this case is being held in, Washtenaw County.
Kama Patel deliberately did not advocate for Reign to not be removed from my care. She did not object once. After the hearing that took Reign away from me again, without cause, Patel yelled at me that if I didn't agree with Van Den Burgh, I should have said something.
On 8/16/23 the honorable Tracey Van Den Burgh abruptly ended my "Make-up Parenting Time" and Permanent Custody Order without a legal cause and despite me noticing her of Reign's abuse living with his dad unsupervised. This is page two of the order.
The honorable Tracey Van Den Burgh is aware that Reign is being abused, has ruled several times to leave him unsupervised, against his best interest since she changed the Permanent Custody Order. I noticed the honorable Tracey Van Den Burgh again on 9/20/23 that Reign reported that he was beat up by his dad and his Dad's violent girlfriend Stephanie Lindsey. Tracey Van Den Burgh dismissed my concerns, held an illegal hearing, did not know what motion she was even ruling on, and suspended my parenting time pending the "Evidentiary Hearing."
The Evidentiary Hearing has been rescheduled twice now, first October 2023, then December 2023.
It is now set for the end of January. Next update of Order 9/20/23 will be posted in the next 24 hours.
Reign is not safe and judge Van Den Burgh is now complicit in child endangerment, is in total violation of the Child Custody Act, and has illegally and wrongfully denied me any access, time, and communication to Reign.
