This is a good representation of what our neighbourhood will look like if planners and Councillors ignore local opposition to this development.

The upcoming election is an opportunity to show Sadiq Khan how unpopular high rise developments are to thousands of London residents and to send a clear message that we will no longer put up with the destruction of our peaceful surroundings.

I have been reliably informed that due to this being a re-application ALL objections should be resubmitted by the 20th April

I outline below my objections to this development:-

1.  The proposed number of 178 dwellings is far too dense on this very small site.

2.  The provision of 72 parking spaces for 178 dwellings is    completely unrealistic and would lead to the destruction of any green areas within the site.

3.  The disproportionately high number of one bed flats does not provide a reasonable mix for families and the elderly in this predominantly family orientated area.  It would also attract a transitory population with no permanent ties to this community

4.  The height of the buildings would dominate the skyline and is totally out of character with this mainly three bed semi-detached locality.

5.  The road layout at the entrance onto the ‘Cattle Bridge’ is unsafe due to the narrowness of the road and situated near a blind spot on the brow of a hill.

6.  The provision of a Doctor’s Surgery would not have sufficient car parking for visiting patients and to date there has been no interest from any quarter to provide this facility.

7.  This large development will destroy the ‘green’ link between West Harrow park and West Harrow allotments, devastate wildlife and reduce air quality which Councils say they are committed to improve for more quality of life of its citizens.
